Richard joined us in 2014 as an Associate after three years as an active participant and contributor to the QCG Reward Leaders Forum. He worked at Tesco for 18 years, leading reward teams in the UK, International and Group before leaving to become a freelance Consultant in 2013. At Tesco he also worked with Business Development as the People rep on the team completing due diligence on potential international acquisitions in Asia.
His clients since leaving Tesco have included a leading fashion retailer, a specialist pharmaceutical research company and an Academy trust in the public sector. In all these roles Richard brings his extensive experience to help businesses develop their reward strategy and solutions that drive business performance through greater employee engagement. Recent projects have seen the first Academy in Hertfordshire to significantly change terms and conditions for all staff and an introduction of a new LTIP and support with the communications for a Global research company.
Richard has also developed a training course for Reward professionals and is a regular speaker at HR conferences on reward issues.
He holds a BA (Hons) Degree in History and is an active volunteer dedicating 25% of his time to charitable and volunteering pursuits that has seen him be a Gamesmaker at the London Olympics and Clydesider at the Glasgow Commonwealth games.
