Courses can also be delivered to organisations interested in building the reward capability of several team members at once.

What is the reward training course?

Our introduction to reward training course focuses on key theoretical and practical aspects of reward management. The course is run over two half-days virtually and builds a basic level of understanding of reward management by reviewing fundamental concepts and how these are applied in daily working life.

Who can benefit from the course?

This course is ideal for HR professionals at all levels who could benefit from having a good understanding of key technical and operational aspects of reward, as well as reward specialists who need a refresher of the reward space.

What will the course look like?

The course will be divided into two 3-hour sessions, typically starting at 9:00am and finishing at midday.

In the first session the focus will be on theoretical aspects including:

• The origin and purpose of reward management
• Reward strategy
• Pay structures
• Job evaluation

In the second session, we cover both theoretical and practical aspects of reward including:

• Benchmarking
• Performance Related Pay and incentives
• Benefits
• Recognition
• Typical day-to-day challenges in reward
• Impact on reward of topical issues (e.g. Gender Pay, HR analytics, COVID-19)
• Employee Value Proposition and the future of reward management

The sessions will feature a series of presentations from QCG experts, case studies, workshops and group discussions. You will also receive a course completion certificate.

How much does it cost?

The sign-up fee for the course is £500 + VAT per delegate.
